Honda generator price and specs: the 0.85–7 kVA portable range
Unlike most genset makers, Honda prints its own price. Its four portable petrol generators run from ₹39,899 for the EP1000 to ₹2,78,699 for the EU70is. One catch before you compare: the kVA on each badge is the maximum, not what the set gives all day.
- From
- ₹39,899
- EP1000 · 0.75 kVA rated
- To
- ₹2.79 L
- EU70is · 5.5 kVA rated

Quick answer
- Honda MRPs: EP1000 ₹39,899, EX2400S ₹1,14,199, EU30is ₹1,49,299, EU70is ₹2,78,699.
- All four are single-phase, unleaded petrol sets with Honda 4-stroke GX engines.
- Rated output is 0.75, 1.8, 2.8 and 5.5 kVA; the badges (0.85–7 kVA) show the maximum.
- Run time at rated output: 6.5 to 7.6 hours on a full tank.
- The two EU inverter models can be paired: 5.6 kVA or 11 kVA rated.
- Honda gives a 2-year warranty, extendable by up to 2 more years.
How much power does a Honda generator really give? Up to 21% less than the badge.
Honda’s leaflet sells each set by its maximum output: 0.85, 2.1, 3 and 7 kVA. The rated output, the figure it holds at 230 V for hours, is lower in every case. Size your load on the rated figure.
The EU70is has the widest gap: 7,000 VA maximum against 5,500 VA rated. Honda’s leaflet says it “runs two air conditioners” and the EU30is one, both marked “conditions apply”.
Which Honda generator fits your load? Slide to what you run.
The picker uses Honda’s rated output, its MRP and its own figures for two inverter sets in parallel. Nothing else.
1,500VA
Add up the rating plates of everything that runs together. Motors draw more for a moment when they start; ask the seller to check a pump, fridge or air conditioner against the maximum output.

Which Honda generator is the best value? The biggest one, per kVA.
Divide each MRP by its rated kVA and the EU70is comes out cheapest, while the EX2400S, the only non-inverter set with a closed silent body, costs the most for its output.
MRP ÷ rated kVA. Our arithmetic on Honda’s listed figures, not a Honda claim.
What is the difference between the four Honda portable generators?

What should you check before buying a Honda generator?
- 1EP1000 run timeThe leaflet says 6.7 hours at rated output; the product page says 6.4 hours.
- 2EU30is weightThe leaflet gives 59.3 kg (EU30i) and 63.5 kg (EU30is) dry; the EU30is product page says 62.0 kg.
- 3EU70is noiseIts spec table says 86 dB; the text on the same page says 85.2 dB(A). Neither gives the distance.
- 4EU30is outputThe page text calls 2.8 kVA its maximum; the spec table gives 3,000 VA maximum and 2,800 VA rated.
- 5Fuel useNo litres-per-hour figure anywhere. Tank ÷ run time gives about 0.54, 1.24, 1.81 and 2.95 L/h at rated output: arithmetic, not a test.
- 6Recoil variantsThe EX2400 and EU30i (recoil start only) have no price on Honda's site. Ask for both prices.
Honda gives no bore or stroke for the GX engines, so we could not check the stated displacements against them.
